1. How do I tune in?

There are many ways to tune in to our channels.

Each Channel has its own tune in page. You can access these by clicking on any of the channels listed in the left hand menu. A web player autostarts when you choose a channel and underneath that is a pop-up version (You need to click stop on the autostart version before you open the pop-up version).

If you prefer to use your own media players, a sub menu opens in the menu with further tune in options.

2. I would like to DJ for HotTrax Radio. What steps do I need to take?

3. How is HotTrax Radio funded?

Our DJs and development team are all dedicated volunteers striving to bring you - our listeners - the best music experience possible.

4. How do I interact with the DJs and listeners?

There are two main ways of interacting with the HotTrax DJs and listeners.

Firstly each of our channels has its own chat room. It allows realtime chat with our DJs and/or listeners when they are online. They can be found via any of the channel links in the left hand menu.

Secondly you can contact us on Yahoo Messenger. Each channel has its own Yahoo ID and a link to it can be found by clicking on the channels in the left hand menu. If you add us to your contact list we will notify you when a DJ is about to go on air.

5. I would like to request a song. What do I do?

There are three ways to request a song.

Firstly - and our recommended way - is our web request function. When a DJ is on air request links appear in their playlists, simply browse to the song you want to hear then click the request link to the left of it. A new window opens where you can say who you are and add a dedication message if you want to. Playlists can be found via the channel pages (left hand menu) or in the Our DJs page. Please note that the web request function only works with DJs that are on the air at the time.

Secondly, you can request a song in our chat room/s. Either by asking the DJ directly or by typing in the room @request followed by the song title and artist. For example if you wanted to hear Lily Allen singing The Fear you would type @request Lily Allen - The Fear

Thirdly, you can contact us on Yahoo Messenger via our channel pages (links in the left hand menu) If you add us to your contact list we will notify you when a DJ is about to go on air. Please make sure you use the correct page/Yahoo ID for the channel you are tuned into.

6. Who created the website?

This website was created and is maintained by Pandamonium.

7. I have registered but I haven't received my activation email!!

Once you sign up, an email will be sent immediately to the email address you have signed up with. If you do not see an email from us please check your Spam folder or Junk mail folder. If after checking that you still can't find one please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  - with the subject heading "Lost activation mail" and the username you chose - and we will activate your account for you.

8. I went in Pandas Pad and was bombarded by childish sounds. How can I turn them off??!

The link to Pandas Pad uses a slightly different java version than the other rooms on HotTrax. It has sounds built in to enhance (or annoy - you decide lol) the games and chat experience. At the moment there is no way of turning the sounds off on that version. However you can use any of the other chat links on the site as they don't have sounds built in. Once you have logged in you can click on the channels tab and enter Pandas Pad that way sound free :D
